Why don’t you dance is a film that manages to depict the wondrous highs and painful truths simultaneously. It makes you fall in love with this couple so much that simple one-liners are all it takes to make us feel for them. The directing and acting are pretty much flawless!
Stylised scenes are made believable through the little details and characters' love. One of the things I adore about this film is how it doesn’t follow the Hollywood upper-class view that money doesn’t matter but it also finds the balance as it is not depicting money as the key to happiness. They have a good time and make memories that they’ll need when Dino’s job separates them.
It is a masterpiece!
I’d go so far as to say it's one of the best short films I’ve seen!
