Tears of the sea utilized the Irish coastline to create a visually stunning piece. The directors did a great job at creating scenes that flowed into each other very well. The actress made Maria believable and likeable and the ending was the perfect level of artsy. However I do feel the writing lacked subtlety. This film told us what was happening when I think showing what was happening may have been better in some scenes. The dialogue got in the way of getting completely emerged in the story at times. Overall, it was an enjoyable watch even just for the visuals alone.
