This short film written and directed by Iulia Enkelana is a beautiful representation of unique forms of art. It is realistic in its depiction of art criticism and how it effects both viewer and artist alike. The film suggests that female artists, particularly, need thick skin to pursue their passion. This is shown through the continuous taunting of a human statue, portrayed by Ileana Benec. The dramatics of the music composed by Horia Constantinescu perfectly suit, without overpowring, each scene. I find it ironic that people continue to criticize the statue featured in the film and here I am, critiquing the artistry of the film itself. This shows the realism of the subject chosen as it carries into daily life. I believe this film is an accurate portrayal of the struggle female artists face.
