This film, directed by Nicole Georgiou, depicts perfectly how social media is almost like an alternate life to the one you live yourself: you can be anyone you want to be online. It also highlights that people can assume anything about you by simply seeing one picture and, as a result, form wildly incorrect opinions based on it. It shows the pressures of needing to be perfect and to have validation in your life to feel good about yourself, making it sadly relatable and realistic to many viewers. The film also depicts the downsides of other influencers lives and how, even though they seem confident online, they often think they aren't good enough or pretty enough in reality. By getting into social media, you are unlocking a whole new set of insecurities and this can be a huge risk to your mental health.
